I am currently working as an Art Department Coordinator on the new series of Peaky Blinders filming in Birmingham.
My current responsibilties include tracking the department budget and keeping up to date financial records, updating the set and strike schedule inline with production changes, and distributing issued drawings to the team. I hope to continue pursing HETV roles in Drama.
Previous experience includes working as a Production Coordinator on Masterchef from Nov 24 - Dec 25. My role included writing and distributing call Sheets and schedules, organising travel for 40 contestants, guests, and talent, and coordinating logistics for location shoots across the UK and abroad. My key skills include working efficiently in a fast-paced environment, problem solving, and forward planning. I am comfortable using PMI, and enjoy financial administration.
I also worked on The Archers, BBC, (April 24 - Oct 25) where I still freelance monthly in studio. I enjoy communicating with the Director/Producer during recordings about the episode timings and possible admentments to the scripts. Having worked at the BBC, I am familiar with systems including Proteus and SAP, as well as BBC guidelines and policies. Specific to my role on The Archers, I worked in studio recording episode timings, formatting scripts and regularly contacting Agents and Cast.
My career started when I was enrolled in the BBC Apprentice Hub- Media Production Coordinator Apprenticeship. During this time, I was placed with Full Fat TV where I gained a Junior Production Coordinator and a Production Secretary Credit for S5 and S6 of The Bad Skin Clinic. I have also assisted with Musical Masterpieces for Sky Arts and post production paperwork for A&E Crash Scene Emergency, C5.
As a Coordinator, I have become familiar with all stages of the production wokflow, managed actors, contributors and talent, and demonstrated my ability to be organsied and efficient whilst working on a fast-paced programmes. In addition, I have ensured TV productions have earned Albert certfication, but I would like to work harder to ensure the industry itself becomes more evironmentally sustainable.
My previous industry experience includes work experience as a runner on BBC Doctors and as a Camera Assistant at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth games, Hockey. I have shown I can adapt to different working environments and enjoy collaborating with new people.
