Hi there!
I'm a kiwi camera-operator and editor based in London. I moved here in August 2023 and can't wait to get stuck into some creative work.
My past work has taken me all around New Zealand filming anything from salmon farms in Stewart Island to rural schools in Tai Rawhiti and NZDF bases in the Manawatū. It's also taken me further afield to Israel to film agri-tech and Italy to film stink bugs, of all things.
I'm able to solo operate effectively, doing the lighting, sound and camera when situations require it. I'm also comfortable self-directing when necessary.
For the past 5 years, I've been employed by Aotearoa Science Agency. During my time in that role I filmed and edited a lot of science communication. I really enjoyed helping to coach nervous talent through an interview and making it fun and engaging for them. I can nerd out about cameras for hours but this personal side of the job is what I enjoy the most.
Check out my website at benjaminbrewer.co.uk for some examples of my work. I'll be adding to this website in an effort to represent the varied work I've done in the past. Feel free to look at the notable work section of my CV for a relatively exhaustive list of clients and productions.
Please feel free to drop me a line for general enquiries, working together, collaborations or just to say hello. I'm keen to meet other creatives in and around London.
