After completing my degree in film studies at Queen’s University in 2018, I immediately gained employment with Morrow Communications- an industry leading Northern Ireland based communications company, working as their in-house videographer. Whilst I left this position in 2022 to pursue a freelance career, this experience gave me valuable insight into video production techniques, allowing me to specialise in producing short form video content for social media, education, marketing and recruitment purposes. Between employment and freelance life, I have over five years experience in this field and am capable of delivering agency quality results.

As a videographer most of my work involves planning, filming and editing short videos composed of interviews (often shot with multiple cameras), music and b-roll. From my background in communications I am well versed in interview techniques, ensuring that interviewees provide the best possible material. My technical skills in camera operating combined with my knowledge of composition, lighting and use of specialist equipment such as gimbals, sliders and teleprompters allows me to produce cinematic results. Once filming is concluded I maintain efficiency in the edit suite and frequently deliver high quality films, complete with music, motion graphics and subtitles for landscape, square and portrait formats.

Thanks to my training in communications and PR, I have a history of building effective working relationships with clients, listening carefully to their needs and regularly liaising with them throughout the entire production process. Whilst I often worked independently, I also have considerable experience of team working alongside directors, producers, marketing specialists and photographers. I am well used to meeting deadlines and do so with maximum efficiency, ensuring that any film I work on is of the highest quality no matter how quickly it has to be turned around for release.

From my previous employment through to freelance life I have worked on a wide range of productions, from social media clips, marketing and recruitment videos to web series and TV documentaries. I have shot and edited videos for  large UK & Ireland based corporations including (but not limited to) BBC Bitesize, Galen LTD, Lidl and MCS Group, and have also worked as camera operator for TV documentaries broadcasted by RTE and UTV.
