I’m confident taking on multiple responsibilities simultaneously, thriving in a high-pressured industry where no two workdays are the same.
In my current role, I provide reliable administrative support to six production teams, including schedule management, digital creativity, international travel arrangements, operating a range of finance systems, compiling data reports, and completing copyright reporting. I assist my Production Manager with budgets, contracting freelance staff, and planning for outside broadcasts while making sure to work within line with the BBC's sustainability targets. This all uses my organisation and attention to detail to ensure the efficient running of programme production to meet broadcast deadlines. I have excelled in fast-paced live output broadcasting, swiftly and calmly supporting my teams when things don’t go according to plan. In all my past roles, I’ve shown myself as a collaborative, positive team player, using my initiative and self-motivation to embrace wider responsibilities. I have provided organisation and leadership while engaging in delivering multiple projects simultaneously.
My reliability and work conscientiousness in my day job led to me being asked to production coordinate the live broadcast of the Queen's funeral and the King's coronation. During this high-stress time, I proved my ability to plan and communicate clearly, making sure to keep positive in the office in a high-stress environment. This was an incredible opportunity to develop my experience of working alongside the technical and editorial teams, in addition to being a confident and sensitive contact point for high-profile commentators, external partners, and freelancers.
Alongside all of this, I was the diary assistant for the controller of BBC Audio for two years. This required impeccable communication with top BBC management teams and constant confidentiality. My ability to switch between PC and PA work seamlessly was vital.
I’m ready to develop my Production Management skills and experience, embracing a new challenge in the broadcast and creative industries.
