Born in the United Kingdom, naturalized in the United States as well as holding a Polish passport (EU), Yvonne is bilingual in German, Polish, and French.
Experienced working for international production companies in both Los Angeles and London, Yvonne takes pride in researching, capturing, and relaying extraordinary narratives about unique worlds and characters that captivate and educate audiences.
Following her graduation from King’s College London with a degree in French and German in 1998, Yvonne embarked on a new chapter in her life by emigrating to Los Angeles in the autumn of 1999 after working at Wizja Sport at the Maidstone Studios. Subsequently, she completed the two-year Entertainment Publicity program with distinction at UCLA Extension.
Her professional journey commenced with a prestigious internship position within the Worldwide Film Marketing & PR department at Rogers and Cowan in Century City. During her tenure, she collaborated closely with the team, contributing to strategic publicity campaigns and press junkets for a diverse range of independent and studio feature films.
Yvonne’s passion for the script-to-screen development process led her to freelance as a unit publicist on various short and independent feature films in the Los Angeles area.
For over two years, Yvonne was employed by the esteemed producer Raju Sharad Patel in Beverly Hills. At the age of 23, Raju played a pivotal role in launching Tom Hanks’ illustrious film career by producing the cult classic “Bachelor Party” (1984) and the critically acclaimed “The Jungle Book” (1994), which grossed over $43 million domestically.
Yvonne collaborated with London-based screenwriter Lea Sellers on the original feature film script titled “Hollywood Years,” which chronicles the life of Polish silent film star Pola Negri. In December 2021, the script, titled “POLA,” was ranked #10 out of 1,054 on Coverfly’s “THE RED LIST” in the category of Historical Feature. To date, it has garnered nine industry finalist awards and was ranked in the Top 1% of Stage32 Community Scripts of 2021.
In March 2022, Stowe Story Labs in Vermont selected “VOID,” a Holocaust drama feature film project, out of 700 applications. Yvonne was one of 53 emerging writers and creatives who attended the June Lab.
