Hello!

My name is Ysabella (Pronounced Isabella) I grew up in a small coastal town in New Zealand. I fell in love with imagery from a young age which encouraged me onto a path of being a creative.

At the age of 18, I decided to enroll in New Zealand’s most prestigious film schools and study both technical and theoretical elements of Film making for two years, gaining two Level 6 New Zealand Endorsed diplomas.

Two months after graduating I landed a fulltime role as a camera operator and floor manager for the News in New Zealand, having honed my skills in predominantly live / Broadcast TV I am well versed in all technical aspects of production and can confidently run a studio show or outside broadcast.

After a year I left TV3 (though returned in various forms throughout the last 4- years, as I was offered a role as Video Content producer at NZME (one of New Zealand’s largest media companies) I produced up to 18 projects a week, ranging from promotional content, TVCs, Skits for radio and branded segments. My role was mostly the equivalent of a self-shooting PD here in the UK, as I would use our inhouse equipment to light and shoot most of the content I would produce.

Throughout my career I have worked with celebrities, Politian’s, journalists, actors, thinkers and do-ers and I am proud to be a well-respected individual in the NZ Film & TV community.

I have always strived for the best outcome in my creative outlet and have been described by previous Managers ‘’as a team player with high leadership qualities and exceptional communication skills’’ I work in a methodical manner and rationalize difficult scenarios to work out the best solution.

I have consistent experience in predominantly broadcast and Digital platforms and have worked in various roles from Producer to Director of Photography.

Though I am new to the UK, I would love the opportunity to work under your guidance and learn the ways of the international industry after working in the NZ industry for 5 Years. Read Less
