I want to share stories from the famous and the ordinary to inspire others to be the best they can be; bringing a positive mental attitude to a world full of so much hate.
I am currently a Producer at GB News on their breakfast programmes with the likes of Eamonn Holmes, Anne Diamond, Stephen Dixon and Andrew Pierce. In the role, I have to edit SOTs, VOVs/floats and TV packages for the show on a range of topics. I also have to have strong communication with the breakfast production team and the presenters to ensure we produce a high-quality product for our audience. This means I have to book guests that are appropriate for the programme and the topics we are discussing. I spent 10 months as an assistant producer on the same shows developing my skills before being promoted to this role.
As Deputy Station Manager at Forge TV, I helped to organise and produce content with the Forge TV team and release a great product. I was a producer for our live streams of the SU student elections and Varsity as well as personally being the lead for all student elections content across the year. Alongside this, me and the station manager led committee meetings every week with the Forge TV team to ensure we kept producing high-quality content.
I worked at both Deadline Digital and the Sheffield Star which helped me gain industry experience. At Deadline Digital, I further developed my video editing skills by creating video testimonials and promotional content for their clients. At the Sheffield Star, I worked on a range of stories from crime to charity to lifestyle which has shown my versatility as a journalist. Here I have shown I am comfortable working and communicating with a range of people from business owners to NHS executives to celebrities like Laura Turner and Tom Kitchin. These experiences helped me to familiarise myself with industry-standard equipment and be able to work under pressure balancing multiple tasks at once.
In my spare time, I run a podcast called Taking The Pin where we speak about wrestling and I am responsible for on-camera work, social media content, and thumbnails. I used to run a YouTube channel that enhanced my editing and presenting skills leading me to be the host of a Football Manager gaming competition called FMTM. I also used to be a host and worked behind the scenes on the Unbelievable Streams Podcast as well as appearing on multiple podcasts (Road to Legends Podcast, US3 podcast and S10 podcast).
