Having experience working in creative digital marketing and film making, I am eager to learn and develop my on-set skills in Film/Television. I meet the requirements of this role and would be great for this job because I also have over 2 years’ experience working in retail, 2 years’ experience in Marketing and 3 years of Videography experience. My first job, being in retail, gave me a great foundation going forward and I learnt many transferable skills for a career in media; unsociable working hours/long days on my feet, logistics/organisational skills and teamwork. The IKEA values also align with my own; in particular togetherness, diversity & inclusion and sustainability. In Marketing I developed exceptional communication skills as I collaborated to create content to be shared internationally.
I have paid freelance experience as a videographer for some of the most well-known brands in the world such as IKEA, Nikon and Land Rover Jaguar. Across all of these roles I was heavily relied on and trusted to represent the companies I worked for, to create and deliver at a very high level. Working these jobs gave me the ability to deal with a talk to every type of customer. Through these jobs, I have met hundreds of people and with each person I met I was able to establish an effective working relationship quickly and work proactively in a team.
I have experience as a leader, managing a team of videographers on multiple occasions. On one occasion a team of 8 to cover a celebrity charity football match in Essex. Great forward thinking, communication and teamwork were required to get this job done and I am extremely proud of the team and what we achieved on that project. From my time at University, I collected vast amateur production experience. I have experienced being a, Runner, 1st AC, D.O.P., Editor, Steadicam operator, Writer and Director. Each of these experiences taught me new things about production and gave me a taste of the responsibilities of each role.
After years of working across different organisations with different teams, I am extremely proud of the art we have been able to create. I am hardworking, motivated, and keen to join an equally dedicated team and follow my ambition into TV and film; working with creatively tormented people like me. I have a positive attitude towards challenges, and I am an eager problem solver. I am innovative, organised and passionate about working in television and film.
