My name is Jacob Blaidd and I'm an ambitious and versatile Edit Assistant based in Bristol. As a dedicated professional with a strong passion for the film and TV industry, I've worked on a variety of projects where my technical skills and creative abilities have been put to the test.

For over a year, I worked as an Ingest and Media Operator at Films@59 where I employed a unique set of skills in managing and processing client media assets. I've designed and programmed bespoke audio plugins, optimizing workflow efficiency, and have experience with industry-standard tools such as Avid Media Composer, DaVinci Resolve, Card/Content Agent, and more. My hands-on experience with Multicam Syncing, StorageDNA LTO, exports, and tape capture uniquely qualify me to thrive in media-rich environments.

My interest in technology extends beyond my work. As a self-proclaimed tech enthusiast, I like to experiment with new plugins, create music, and even develop innovative computer programs in my spare time. My latest project is a prototype that marries the worlds of Dungeons and Dragons with AI, where I've utilized OpenAI GPT language models to create an immersive, text-based adventure game.
