Hey, I'm George!

 I’m a 25+ production professional with experience as a runner, camera assistant, researcher, and drone operator. I’ve built a wide range of practical skills through supporting crews, managing technical kit, and helping teams stay organised on set. I’m passionate about storytelling and problem-solving, whether it’s through research, technical setup, or getting the right shot.

As a runner, I've supported production teams by managing equipment, helping with location setups, and assisting talent on shoot days. I’ve learned how to keep busy days on track by staying organised and adapting to any last-minute changes that come up on set.

As a camera assistant, I’ve worked with directors and producers using a range of Sony cameras (FS7, FX9, FX6, A7S III). I’ve set up camera rigs, swapped lenses, managed focus changes, and ensured the right technical adjustments were made for every shot. I’ve also worked with data wrangling, reviewing footage, and editing in Premiere Pro to ensure content is accurate and well-organised.

In my role as a researcher, I focused on location scouting, reaching out to potential contributors, and managing paperwork like release forms and permissions using systems like RIMMs. These tasks taught me how to stick to a brief, manage deadlines, and maintain strong relationships with contributors and production teams.

My interest in aerial cinematography led me to become a skilled drone operator, capturing aerial footage that adds unique perspectives to productions. Flying drones requires a creative eye and technical knowledge—both of which I bring to the table.

I have a full, clean driving licence and have mamy bases arounf the country. I’m eager to bring my skills, energy, and experience to new opportunities, whether full-time or freelance.
