James Ha is a filmmaker with mixed English and Hong Kong heritage based in London. Prior to co-founding Scene 852 Productions with his partner, Alison Thomas, he worked with production companies in the US and HK, including October Pictures (HK), Stillmotion (Portland, US), DOCUINC (US), and Warner Brothers (US). While in Hong Kong, James served as the director's assistant for Hollywood director and producer Dean Devlin, who produced Independence Day, during the filming of GeoStorm.

Since starting Scene 852 Productions, James Ha has produced numerous films for prominent clients, such as Spartan Race, The Hong Kong Jockey Club, Adidas SG, Samsung, DEFY, AIA, TheDesk, Pierre Fabre, Sónar, Mox Bank by Standard Chartered, Clockenflap, The University of Hong Kong, Music Run, and others.
