Whilst I can work in diverse sectors, such as creative, funding, analysis, curation, programming and research, my true interests lie in production and development. I often find myself diving into the scripts of my favourite films and tv shows, however, I would love to acquire some real-world knowledge of developing a script. I initially pursued a bachelor's degree in "Media and Communications" at Cardiff University, where I delved into various topics related to the media industry, including journalism, music, and audience research. My undergraduate studies allowed me to engage in projects, such as building my own website focusing on online identities and self-representation. Additionally, I gained practical experience by shadowing professionals at BBC Cymru/Wales, exploring different production and broadcasting styles through radio and television shows. I also had the opportunity to work as a runner for an internal interview with Joan Bakewell. Lastly, during my time at South Wales Life, an award-winning lifestyle magazine, I honed my eye for detail while writing and editing articles about Welsh culture. Furthermore, I bettered my writing skills whilst working as a freelance writer for an online magazine.
After completing my bachelor's degree, I decided to specialise in the medium that intrigued me the most. Hence, I began my master's in "Film and Television Cultures" at Utrecht University. Through this programme, I have acquired valuable theoretical knowledge about the screen industries. I designed my own hypothetical film festival on memory in global cinema as part of my studies. Furthermore, I analysed outstanding films and shows, such as Donald Glover's Atlanta. Lastly, I devoted my thesis to the exploration of political participation and political performance in relation to Have I Got News for You.
I would appreciate hearing about any opportunities you may have to offer. Feel free to contact me by email or by phone.
