Omar is an Egyptian-British self-contained director/producer with more that five years in the filmmaking industry. Following his passion for wildlife stories in 2015 he traveled to South Africa gaining experience as an intern and volunteer before becoming an established wildlife and underwater camera operator executing assignments for several Governmental Entities, NGOs, research centers and national parks in South Africa Malawi, Mozambique and Egypt. In 2020 he finished a 1 year post graduate diploma in VFX. Currently he is working commercially as VFX Onset supervisor. Omar directed three short films which were screened in national and international film festivals, and for the last three years he has been working on ”Crocodopolis” which is his first feature-length documentary following an egyptian courageos researcher and his local team struggling to save the very little remaining population of Nile Crocodiles from going extinct due to poaching and illegal wildlife trade activities.
