Leda Contopanagos was born in New York, USA. At the age of ten, she and her family repatriated to Athens, Greece.
In 2019, Leda graduated with a BFA from the School of Fine Arts of the University of Ioannina majoring in Painting.
In 2022, Leda earned an MA in Directing from the MET Film School, London, U.K.

Her goal with film is to capture glimpses in everyday life and bring them to the forefront in a surreal and vibrant way, whilst also putting a spotlight on social issues such as feminism, toxic masculinity and consumerism. One of her earliest films, ‘EXPENDABLE’, showcases over-consumerism and the toxicity that that creates on one’s psyche.

She has directed/produced a music video for singer Aricia Mess titled: ‘A Fome E O Canibalismo’, available June 2023. Leda is currently in the process of submitting her debut short film ‘Asymptote', a surreal short film that delves into the psyche of a couple, to film festivals.

Leda has worked as Script Supervisor on multiple short films and feature films, as well as a Producer on 3 short films - Associate Producer on various projects and AD on 7 shorts, all UK based.

She splits her time between the UK and Greece. Read Less
