I have worked so hard to be able to write this sentence... I am a BAFTA winning, Emmy nominated, multi award-winning Self Shooting PD, Executive Producer and Series Producer. I am passionate about everything I do, especially making documentaries, programmes and factual series that inform, inspire, create debate, entertain and involve compelling narratives. I have developed and pitched countless ideas throughout my career and I have created fantastic working relationships with commissioners.

I am currently a Senior Self Shooting Producer and Director for the BBC’s Longform Investigations Unit.

For more than 15 years I was an investigative broadcast journalist for ITV and then the BBC - making hard hitting, award winning documentaries and investigations. I uncovered some of the most shocking human rights abuses and criminality around the world producing, presenting and often PD Self Shooting documentaries for major current affairs programmes such as ITV Tonight, ITV News, BBC Panorama, Newsnight and BBC News. All highly challenging, sensitive or complex projects.

In 2017 I helped launch the indie Fresh Start Media. I was instrumental in its growth, developing and pitching a huge slate of ideas leading to many commissions and major awards, many of which I produced, directed, or Executive / Series Produced. I often worked with on screen talent, gaining unique access to incredible people and places and being creative with archive and motion gfx.

I have developed, produced and directed observational, natural history and investigative documentaries often with multiple shoots across the globe and multiple edits. I have been Series Producer of documentary series, news programming and factual series for SVOD’s and major channels including Sky, BBC, YouTube - developing great relationships with commissioners and channel Executives. I am also a hands on Executive Producer who can shoot to a high standard. 

I also created and for 5 years I was the Executive Producer / Showrunner of ‘FYI’ - a youth digital news brand and magazine programme for Sky and YouTube. I also Executive Produced and Directed it’s spin off documentary series FYI Investigates. The unique peer to peer digital news brand has won many awards including a BAFTA and a Broadcast Digital Award and is now into it’s 6th year.

I have managed and nurtured multi-skilled teams, large budgets and short and long running projects.

I have also produced and directed in the studio and from a live gallery. 

It all started at the age of 19 when I became the youngest ever presenter of the BBC’s daily children’s news programme Newsround, winning a Royal Television Society award for Young Journalist of the Year. I went on to dedicate many years of my career working as a Senior Presenter / Broadcast Journalist while making many investigations, winning major awards for my hard-hitting and complex documentaries .
