I am a skilled creative having produced, directed and edited content for broadcast. I am skilled at developing and nurturing external partnerships. I have also worked as a scriptwriter, as a casting producer and as a continuity producer and in the running of the CITV Channel for ITV. I have a wealth of knowledge working with clearance, licensing, health and safety and risk assessment. I am experienced in working with presenters and high-profile celebrities.
In 2022 I worked for ITV on The Voice UK and for BBC Education on the Share Your Story Tour for the BBC centenary.
I spent three years working for CBBC as an Assistant Producer where I wrote scripts, developed new ideas, generated content and directed live and pre-recorded presentation material.
I worked for BBC Music working on BBC Music Day which was very warmly received across the UK. I was personally involved in nearly all aspects of BBC Music Day and I was very proud to have helped create and deliver initiatives such as Platform to Perform which placed 40 choirs at 40 train stations for 40 local radio stations and much gossiped about TV stunts such as Bargain Hunt featuring Pulp Vs Happy Mondays. I worked with a huge number of both internal and external partners delivering several broadcast moments which required excellent communication skills and the ability to identify, develop and nurture relationships across a wide plethora of musical initiatives. I was a key member of the team delivering huge moments on BBC Breakfast and The One Show. I am an enthusiastic team member, highly motivated, organised and I can work under high pressure.
As a musician myself I was thrilled to have the opportunity to work in BBC Music having spent time working as a professional bassist with rock band 'The Moonlandingz'. I have lots of experience in the music industry having extensively toured the UK and Europe and also played shows in the US. Personal highlights include playing Glastonbury, Green Man Festival and playing with Iggy Pop as well as being nominated for a Q Award. I currently play bass and sing for indie rock band Heavy Salad with whom I have toured the UK and played gigs at the international music and film showcase SXSW in Austin Texas.
Previous to this I spent many years with ITV having delivered two successful rebrands of the CITV Channel working as a Continuity Producer. I developed many interstitial strands that outlived my employment there. I also wrote a lot of music for the CITV Channel including all the continuity/ident /interstitial music and stings and pre-school songs. I also worked on the x3 Children's Bafta award winning 'Share a Story' initiative. I am very experienced in running a daily, live broadcast channel and the systems that go with it.
I am also very proud to have worked on cult/classic shows such as You've Been Framed and Most Haunted Live. I have worked across disciplines including studio, live broadcast and animated content.
