I'm an Emmy-nominated documentary director, writer, and producer with a journalism background.

I moved from Los Angeles to Yorkshire in 2020 at the start of the pandemic. Since then, I've worked on numerous documentaries as either a writer, producer, director, or story consultant. Rather, a feature documentary I wrote about legendary American newsman Dan Rather, directed by Frank Marshall, premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in June of 2023 and is now streaming on Netflix (US). Let Me Be Me, a documentary about an autistic boy who grows up to become a fashion designer, was nominated for Outstanding Arts & Culture Emmy in 2023.

Other recent projects include a three-part series FTX: The Rise and Fall of Sam Bankman-Fried, as well as feature docs about Chef Nobu and James Carville—both of which just premiered at the Telluride Film Festival. Carville: Winning is Everything, Stupid! sold to CNN prior to the premiere. Other recent work includes Randy Newman: Words & Music (Sony Classics), The Lost Children (Netflix), and The Walk—a film about Amal, the giant puppet based on a Syrian refugee girl, which premiered at DOCNYC in 2023. 

I began working in documentaries with Morgan Neville in 2004 doing film-to-digital transfers, production audio, and composing music for several of Neville’s projects including Oscar winner, 20 Feet from Stardom (2013). I took a break from documentaries to pursue journalism and wrote feature stories for The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, California Sunday and other publications. In 2019 I returned to documentaries to produce The End of the World (Showtime) with Altimeter Films.
