Working in commercial and BBC Radio and Television, she has worked on BBC East Midlands Today, BBC Radio Derby, Leicester, Sheffield and Nottingham, getting her broadcasting career grounding in commercial radio with GWR and Capital in London and the South and then becoming a household name in the East Midlands.
Versatile and natural on screen and behind the mic, Sally has a warm and personal style that makes the viewer and listener feel at home. Her strength is making the audience feel involved and sharing inspirational stories with the natural ability to put her guest at ease to share the most intimate of stories.
Sally’s passion for creative broadcasting has led to many of her big station ideas, including running the London Marathon to raise thousands of pounds for skin cancer after a colleague died; many Children In Need challenges including her idea to “Push Pudsey” on a stretcher from Derby to Belper; producing and directing a radio pantomime ticketed event at the local theatre. All with the aim and desire to get the awareness and publicity for the station.
Presenting and producing have gone hand in hand in Sally’s long broadcasting experience, including collaborating on pitching and producing a mini wildlife TV series which was commissioned with many successful episodes. Sally also has vast experience of hosting on stage for big events and Q&As and presenting live outside broadcasts for television, radio and online.
