Before deciding to travel the world Gert studied engineering in his native Belgium. His travels brought him to Argentina and Buenos Aires where he settled down in 1997.

In 2012 Gert joined Fixer Argentina, founded in 2009 by Macarena Gagliardi. Fixer Argentina. Together they have worked on numerous documentaries, TV travel shows, news programs, commercials, reality shows and international radio programs.
