During my tenure as the leader of the University of Manchester Filmmaking Society, I have cultivated a deep passion for media production, specifically within the realm of Television Streaming Content and drama production. The society has afforded me the opportunity to enhance my skills as an effective communicator, adept at organizing sets and facilitating effective communication with a membership of over 150 students, ensuring the smooth relay of information in a concise and timely manner. This year, the committee and I have successfully revitalized the society, generating funds surpassing £3000 through events that I have orchestrated, as well as overseeing the creation of 13 short films, involving a cast and crew of 164 students. Proficient in on-set operations, I have assumed the role of a production coordinator for three of the films, diligently overseeing every aspect, while offering guidance to students experiencing their first foray into the world of filming. I have skillfully constructed call sheets, formulated budget outlines, and effectively managed logistical aspects such as location selection, transportation arrangements, and technological requirements. My academic background in English Literature has endowed me with invaluable research skills, enabling me to distill extensive literary works and papers into concise facts and notes, while adeptly extracting pertinent information from a myriad of sources. Additionally, I possess proficiency in a wide array of computer programs, including Microsoft Office, Adobe, Google Suite, and Outlook. Moreover, I have recently undertaken a marketing internship at Lounge.Live, a tech startup located in London, where I demonstrated my prowess in generating content for social media platforms such as TikTok and Instagram. Presently, I have taken on freelance assignments from SYNCHRONICITY, where I contribute as an assistant on Vox Pops and effectively manage email correspondence and administrative tasks for the company. I have immensely enjoyed working collaboratively within a team setting, gaining profound insights into the media production industry, and I firmly believe that I possess the potential to flourish in a professional setting.
