I am a production apprentice at BBC Radio Sheffield due to finish in October, however I am able to actively apply for jobs with the potential to leave early.

I have a strong background in health due to my 15 years of nursing and I have produced shows for BBC Radio Sheffield especially the Covid 19 Day of Reflection lead up. Where I produced four episodes one hour slots with content where people told real stories of their pandemic experiences. I was also a researcher where I networked with people around the UK outside of our coverage patch and inside in order to make these shows possible. I did some reporting and interviewing of a contributor who was based in Plymouth. As well as offering emotional support to contributors as we were speaking about highly sensitive experiences.

During my appenticeship I have created my own podcast from scratch and did some presenter work too. Where I edited the recording, created some visuals and captioned it to make it multiplatform. It was a podcast on inclusion and diversity.

I have developed audio editing skills using systems such as Star Track and Adobe Audition. I have done a lot of work with health professionals for a section of the show called Body Talk. As I have plenty of contacts stemming from my nursing background. 

I have supported on outdoor broadcasts when we have been outside of the studio, scouting for contributors, ensuring risk assessments have been implemented. To promote the radio station in a positive light.

I also have a background in short film production and directing where I have created my own multi award winning films both within the UK and outside of the UK. Where I have done thorough research and location reccys to see if it fitted my vision. Organising transport, accommodation and self shooting too.

My strengths are health, however I am a very curious person and willing to dive into any area, I love drama, blue light series, or films. But open to any opportunity that comes my way. I am also full of ideas for new shows and podcasts. Read Less
