Owen Lawrence is a British-Asian , neurodivergent actor-writer and executive producer and founder of Stepping Up Productions which is an independent tv and film production company specialising in scripted tv drama and comedy. 

Owen has trained as an actor for over twelve years and been writing for four years. He started Stepping Up Productions at the end of 2022 and in its first six months secured major interest from UKTV's Alibi on one of his crime dramas. 

Owen's comedy writing is described as witty yet naturalistic, vivid, well-paced, and doing a lot with a little in terms of crisp, personality-filled writing. The comic voice and rhythms are apparent right away. 

As an actor, Owen's ability to perform comedy shines through in his timing, his mannerisms and his deadpan and dry delivery. Often compared to a young Jack Black. 

Owen is currently pitching shows to all the major broadcasters and is awaiting his first commission. With high praise from Sky, Tiger Aspect, Katy Brand, Gina Lyons and Sophie Ellwood.
