I specialise in intimate, character and relationship based stories that bring joy, emotional release and some level of understanding of what it is to be human.
In 2023 I was one of BFI Network South West's eight New Voices participants as a Writer/Director where I developed a new short film script which is currently in it's funding stage with BAFTA Connect Producer Fern Scott. Prior to this, in the same year, I produced and directed my first micro-short, written by Savannah Betts, about a bisexual woman who looks to a local LGBTQIA+ book club for a sense of belonging.
I hope to bring to set a grounded ego and a genuine desire for others to feel happy, fulfilled, and confident in their work. With an unabashed & deep passion for work and people who affect me, I also bring a solid sense of the stories I want to tell and how I want to tell them.
Previous work as an actor includes many Bristol made shorts, independent features, fringe and touring theatre productions, and TV includes work with The Discovery Channel and ITV’s BAFTA winning ‘The Lost Honour of Christopher Jefferies’. In 2023 I was awarded 'Best Actor' by Chanigng Face International Film Festival for my role in the single shot, 10 minute short film 'Together', also written by Savannah Betts.
As I writer, in addition to being chosen for the BFI New Voices scheme, I have also been shortlisted for Theatre West's 'Making an Exhibition of Yourself' new writing initiative, and my short film 'When She Goes' is currently in development with emerging Producer Annelies Morlion.
