My various research positions from benthic organisms in Madagascar to bottlenose dolphins in Spain combined with filming and podcast assignments I undertook during my degree have taught me that not only do I find the initial research completely fascinating, but the subsequent challenge of translating these complex ecosystems and their dire situations into compelling and enticing language really excites me. My particular interests lie in sensory systems, in particular of insects and molluscs. I am fascinated by how they perceive and react to their respective worlds. It never ceases to amaze me how many senses other organisms have that us humans cannot even begin to imagine. Such fascinating and important organisms are often overlooked, and some much-needed awareness of the ever-increasing challenges they face from humankind must be highlighted.
