My name is Kennedi Ryan (She/Her), I am 24 years old and I have just moved back home to Manchester after spending the best part of this year working as a development researcher in London before travelling to Bali to complete a yoga teacher training qualification. I am now looking to further explore the world of film after graduating with a degree in Filmmaking from Leeds Arts University in 2022.

I chose to do a degree in filmmaking (specialising in documentary filmmaking) because I think films and documentaries are a great way to show, immerse and offer a range of audiences the opportunity to connect and engage with different people, places and issues from all over the world - especially the stories and perspectives that are often left out of mainstream media and narratives.

I am specifically interested in how documentaries can be used to spread environmental, social and political awareness. Read Less
