Read MoreI am a highly motivated Executive Producer who is well used to working under pressure in LIVE television environments (BBC/ ITV). I have also led studio, location and scripted Production teams in multiple genres across a broad portfolio - from multi-camera studio series, to location comedy drama, from PSC crews, to stop-frame animation and from puppet shows to full hidden camera rigs and sport. (Including working with International partners in the USA & Canada.)
My responsibilities always involve driving the overall commissioned editorial and compliance - delivering projects both on time and on budget. Many of the commissions and proposals I have worked on have been entirely new and I support the development and delivery of the initial concept to pitch level and then I go on to realise the final product/ programme at commission with a specialist team.
I am versatile, adaptable and well used to change. I am driven by goals and like to succeed. I am also proud of the sense of fun which I encourage in a team, however pressurised the deadlines become. This year I reached the landmark of having worked in content production for 25 years. I am a multiple award winner with 2 BAFTAs and several RTS Awards in both the North West & latterly with BBC Scotland. During my time at CiTV presentation we also partnered with Second Home Studios in Birmingham to win a Promax World Gold Design Award for the ‘Best Promotional Campaign’ (Stopframe)
The evolving marketplace is one which I am overtly aware of as audience behaviours and consumption adapt to emerging technologies and trends. I am well used to challenging conventions and adapting to the changing needs of Commissioners, viewers & 3rd party stakeholders.
How do I switch off? Simple, time with the wife, kids & cats - in the Campervan - or watching Aston Villa … not necessarily all at the same time, but heck, why not!?
