Due to my experience as a photographic guide over the last fifteen years, I was able to gain detailed knowledge about Kenya’s wildlife, national parks and hidden wildlife gems. In the last years I was able to work on some projects for different international production houses. The last big project I was involved in was “The Secrets of the Elephants” from National Geographic and Disney+. I did big parts of the filming in Kenya and was also organizing and ground handling a full production in a remote area of Kenya.

In 2023 I got my Kenyan Commercial Drone License in addition to my EU license. I also have a PADI diving license as well as an international boat license for vessels up to 20m length. I love wildlife and especially elephants. That’s why I have focused on filming elephants more intense over the last years.

Our latest documentary "An Elephant Away" was officially selected by the Wildlife Conservation Film Festival 2023. The documentary shows the Human Elephant Conflict in Kenya from a different perspective.

My first independent documentary called “The Unfathomable Virus” was published in 2020 and showed the effects of Corona and the breakdown of tourism in the rural areas next to National Parks and Reserves. It was aired on NTV, Aljazeera, DSTV and some smaller broadcast channels.

Owning a travel agency in Germany, I was able to travel the world the last twenty years and I have organized a lot of remote expeditions into the Amazon, the South Pacific or Indonesia’s West Papua and other off the grid locations. I am used to remote shoots and are comfortable enough to film in harsh environments and rough conditions.

During the last two years I have noticed that film fixing in Kenya has limited options for production houses. Therefore I have decided to open a small production and pre-production company based in Nairobi called Africa Wildlife Productions Ltd. Read Less
