Development Researcher/AP specialising in gaining access to interesting people and places, but most passionate about crafting stories. With an insatiable appetite to learn about new topics, I have recently covered tobacco as a researcher for BBC3 and Channel 5 consumer affairs exposes 'Snus: Hooked on Nicotine' (UNTOLD) and 'The Truth About Vaping with Jordan North'. I really enjoy getting people excited about projects, I'm fearless asking them (experts and the public alike) to contribute to a project I believe in.
I've supported teams on location, assisting with tech, logistics, compliance and story logging for Season 1 of The 'Tube: Keep London Moving!' on Channel 5 and worked my way up to AP and Researcher. Even shooting B-Roll and helping with sound/lighting.
My skills include meticulous briefs, ability to connect with and communicate complex ideas to people and a drive for innovative storytelling. Over the last two years I have been working on a true crime feature documentary as a Development Researcher. This took me and the team into courtrooms as trial verdicts took place, universities to speak to experts about cutting edge research and also into historical and legal research. Looking for my next project.
I've also worked with BBC Radio 4 Digitial Team, Shorefront Films, Middlechild Productions and MPB as a Production Assistant, Runner and Product Specialist. Passionate about philosophy, nature and art. Capable with FX9/RED and extremely tech literate. See CV for references.
