My conclusion? To work in an industry and a team that I’m passionate about, motivated by and able to apply my natural flair for creativity.During my time at the University of Gloucestershire, I had to write and direct three short films. From here I took on the role of editing, grading and scoring my projects, learning workflows based around DaVinci and Adobe Workspace. This has enabled me to become familiar with production based workflows, from the conception of an idea, to delivering the final product. With film and TV production I had the opportunity to freelance as a Runner and Production Assistant on a number of projects in London and was able to step up to 2nd AD and had my first job as a 1st AD this year. The skills I learnt through this work was invaluable. From setting up lighting, camera and set ready for a shoot, liaising with the 2nd to organise cast, to ensuring the smooth operation of the shoot in a timely manner.Due to my background in Music and Music production, Post-Production within film really caught my eye, from delivering rushes, learning to communicate between Adobe and DaVinci, backing up files, organising workloads and creating an overall product I could be proud of.Currently, I am part of an independent team under the name ’Two Faced’ (@twofacedstudios on Instagram) where we are producing comedy sketches for Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3gQE3hbtw-AAWdm2hzS86w). I have directed two of our 4 shoots and will be editing our second shoot.
