As a senior news producer and journalist at the BBC for over 20 years, I have trained to a highly skilled level in video and audio production.
I have a background in producing podcasts and TV news documentaries largely for BBC World TV, R4 and BBC Sounds. 

I have just finished as the series producer for a Tortoise Media production of an 8 part true crime podcast for Audible and looking for future podcast projects, but also producer/AP roles in TV documentaries within the factual, current affairs space. 

My key skills- AUDIO

-Audio editing using Adobe Audition for interview/ chat format podcasts, radio news packages and longer narrative audio arc series. < rough and fine mixing > 
-Organising and planning interviews and gathering and in-field recordings- incl risk assessments, deployments, carnets, visas, production scheduling, archive research and sourcing, kit hire and use, producing remote recordings incl tape syncers etc
-Studio recording and direction with both high profile talent and inexperienced
-Very experienced understanding of UK media law and strong editorial judgement
-Very experienced understanding of compliance- consents, licencing, archive, PasC etc
-Audio treatments and creative flair, scripting, structuring, workflow management
-Main point of client relationship and liaison
-Audio management and managing time to tight deadlines, post production, Dolby Atmos delivery knowledge

My key skills- VIDEO < docs, TV packages and social video > 

-Pitching and commissioning processes incl budget planning and talent scouting
-Organising and planning filming: - finding contributors, building trust, understandning and duty of care and consent, recces and location scouting and securing, risk assessments, deployments, carnets, visas, trip logistics, shooting schedule and managing workflow, picture and archive research, licensing, shoot planning and direction, in-field gathering interviews, photo stills, social videos. 
-Clip management, writing, structuring
-Editing in suite -edit direction, creative treatments, voice recording direction with both high-profile and inexperienced talent
-Editing using Premiere Pro- basic rough cuts and social videos
-Very experienced knowledge of UK media law incl copyright and music law and strong editorial judgement
-Archive licencing and music copyright licencing
-Graphic design and animation commissioning - working with designers on sequence ideas- text/ picture/ stats/ archive timelines etc Read Less
