She feels privileged to have investigated the lives of a variety of animals from the iconic - like lions, buffaloes, dolphins and crocodiles - to the underdogs like warthogs, naked mole rats and wildebeest.

After five years as a producer and writer at Aquavision TV Productions, Billi-Jean served as their Creative Director, overseeing all production and development. She currently contracts for Earth Touch Production Company and also films her own wildlife shorts for the long-running environmental and conservation programme, 50|50, on SABC, as well as the international environmental science and conservation news platform, Mongabay.
Billi-Jean is proud to have judged at many of the premier international wildlife film festivals, including Wildscreen in the UK, Jackson Hole in the USA and the Matsalu International Nature Film Festival in Estonia. Billi-Jean has also been a SAFTA judge since its inception in 2006.
During her free time, she films underwater and shares her love of the ocean as a marine and snorkel guide.
