I have been in consistent employment since I was 16 in hospitiality, taking on new responsibilites as a Duty Manager of Everyman Cinemas and developed transferable skills to the media industry. I had an oppourtunity to apply these professionally as a Production Assistant for a super-yacht events company. This allowed me to demonstrate and develop my strong organisational and punctual skills, reliability and self management, and communicative abilities and interpersonal skills. I can work constructively and efficiently in a team and independently, accustomed to excelling in high pressure environments requiring responsibility.
My course has allowed me to develop academic and logistical skills relating to the film industry and film production. I have taken on a variety of roles in numerous student film projects and my own videography with have develeped some good experience with sound, editing, camera operation but have found that my skills and passions suit being in a producing or directing role.
My final year film 'The Boss Level' was shortlisted for Little Venice Film Festival 2023 and BFI Future Film Festival 2024 of which I was also nominated for their most prestigous award of 'Best New Talent'.
Following the completion of my degree, I took a gap year to travel and my intention is to now apply my skills in a more professional manner in the industry, and I believe that given the oppourtunity I can showcase my dependability and begin a career within the industry.
