I have always been involved with the creative fields since young from being a part of a drama academy (Pauline Quirk Academy) and being selected Young Curator for my local art gallery in Harlow. Studying Media at A levels exposed me to the world of film and television, and I achieved an A grade from my coursework where I directed and produced a music video. This small opportunity created a thirst for more and after volunteering at the Bay Film Festival, I was able to land the opportunity to be the Production Assistant on the Mills Race Experimental Documentary in my first term. From this the ambition to create my own work emerged and is a passion-project I am working on this summer, where I plan to create stories inspired by my faith (Christianity) to show my friends, classmates and the world the beauty of my faith through a colourful lens inspired by music, scriptures and stories. I am the Publicity Officer for my society, Radical Youth (@ry_lancs on Instagram), which is another way of combining my creativity with my faith and I’m excited to see where that goes. I continue to seek opportunities through avenues such as Fully Focused Productions where I attend masterclasses, which has been helpful in gaining more insight into industry on a more personal level as well as be involved in a lovely community. My goal is to obtain an internship for 9-12 months in the academic year of 25/26, as part of my degree program, in which I would like a place in production or pre-production to gain farther expertise in the art of developing a good story.
