Read More An experienced writer and project manager with over 6 years’ experience in large scale roles, and an extensive creative freelance portfolio in parallel. As a performance poet, I've headlined nationally and internationally, including at Tate Lates, Oslo Afro Arts festival and has featured at Latitude festival. I have recent works of poetry anthologised in Part of a Story That Started Before Me (Penguin Random House, 2023), Before Them, We (Flipped Eye Publishing, 2022), The Black Anthology (10:10 Press, 2021) and appears in Magma magazine issues 77 and 83. As a highly organised strategic thinker, skilled communicator, and strong collaborator, I have used my skills to write engaging stories based on self-led interviews with social workers in my freelance work as a communications officer for England's largest social work charity, Frontline. Through intentional interviewing, careful editing, and collaborating with colleagues to create short video trailers and reels, the stories showcased seek to celebrate social workers and shift negative public perceptions of the profession, which has been acknowledged by other organisations in the sector. I am now seeking to combine my expertise and passion to pursue a career in film and TV. My love of storytelling led me to complete a Masters in Creative Writing, specialising in screenwriting. This provided me with a theoretical knowledge and practice of writing and editing scripts for TV and film which I am now seeking practical experience in as a career changer.
