I’ve worked as Trainee Assistant Editor on two high-end TV dramas for ITV1 and Amazon and am keen to make the step up to the role of the Second Assistant Editor. I love the whole editorial process – from compiling/syncing the rushes to exporting the final cuts of episodes – in no other area of programme making, in my opinion, can you observe the grand evolution of a drama or documentary – from its building blocks to what finally gets transmitted. I also love the logistical element to an otherwise very creative process – the ‘creation’ of dailies for the editor gives you a proper feeling of accomplishment at the end of the day. Read Less
