Recently I completed a six month secondment as a Resaearcher for Lorraine where I gained experience in brief and script writing, editing images and footage using AVID alongisde liasing with high profile talent and PR's.
Prior to this I was a Programme Assistant for Good Morning Britain and Lorraine and I am now a Production Assistant for Good Morning Britain as it trasnitions to ITN. My responsbilities include organising paper work including scripts, rundowns and briefs, sourcing props and arranging props. I was also lucky enough to be apart of the Production Team involved with ITV's coverage of the 2025 Oscar's ceremony.
As someone with a huge passion for broadcast journalism, I also produced and presented my own radio package for BBC Radio Sheffield which looked at ow the cost of living crisis impacted students. I have also hosted my own radio show for Forge Radio and created and hosted my own podcast.
Additionally I have also gained experience in a wide range of newsrooms from ITV Calendar, This Morning and GB News where I shadowed and worked alongisde Assitant Producers and watched the editorial process of these shows.
In 2024 I graduated with a First Class Honours degree from the University of Sheffield where I also gained my NCTJ accreditation, meaning I have a strong knowledge of Ofcom regulations. During my final year I created a First-Class multimedia article which looked at whether sugar dating had been glamorised by social media platforms. This was a written piece which also ehavily relied on social media posts alongside videos and images to effectively tell the story.
In a group, I also built a magazine brand from scratch titled 'Pride & Joy' for a large university project, which acheived a high First. As the social media Editor I was in charge of establishing the brand and building our audience.
