I am Charlie, I completed my MA in Film Production at the University of Salford, in October 2022 graduating with a Distinction. My research project was experimental techniques in film sound and how it influences the audience.
I am actively seeking opportunities to help me develop and push my passion for creativity and help build my career behind the camera to be able to gain more experience in the industry I love, I really don’t mind what I do on set.
I have had some freelance roles whilst at uni and since leaving but wish to enhance my expertise, experiences and professional opportunities.
My four years at university was restricted because of the Covid pandemic and unfortunately this limited my opportunities for industry credits, this definitely hasn’t help me get that first break into the industry.I am fully proficient in the use of Adobe Creative Suite, especially Premiere Pro, I have also used After Effects and DaVinci Resolve as well as other video editing programmes. I have experience of colour grading, sound recording and a complete understanding of media production processes. I’m Avid certified and have my own copies of the full Adobe Creative Suite and Avid. I am fully proficient with Microsoft Office especially Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
I totally understand the process of taking a project from concept to delivery and my greatest strength is that I flourish when my creativity is challenged especially working with like-minded people. I love working as a team but also display autonomy and confidence whilst working independently, ensuring multiple projects are delivered on time to the highest possible standard and not getting flustered when the necessary last-minute changes take place.
