I am an 'Entry Level' Producer seeking to gain experience in the industry with the aim of working my way up the production ladder from being a runner to taking on more responsibility and hopefully one day aspiring to be a high level producer in film or tv.
Over the last 3 years I have studied Media Production at university as a mature student and was rewarded with a first class honours degree this summer. During my time at university I oversaw all tasks as the producer, creating original content while managing a team at the same time to create great content with amazing marks to compliment work. My greatest achievement at university was creating a 3 part documentary series about Grassroots Football which I directed, produced and edited. This was hugely rewarding as we were nominated for best documentary at university and went on to Premiere it in Leeds to over 200 people.
Since finishing the degree I have set up a small production company which specialises in factual and music videography, and we have undertaken several projects so far. I have written two treatments over summer for projects I would like to create one day and I am hoping to pitch these ideas to broadcasters in the near future.
I was also hired to create social media content for a local media company in Leeds called the Hoot, we went on to the streets of Leeds to ask funny questions to the general public. My Task was to present and edit the Vox Pops as well as think and suggest topics for future videos.I have a proven track of working hard and managing people successfully in previous careers before university, I have worked up career ladders before in the retail sector starting off as a sales assistant and working my way up to regional manager in the space of 6 years. when I get passionate about something I am relentless, I have always had a passion for all things film since I watched my first ever one, when I was 5, in case your wondering it was Phantom of the Menace, Cheers dad!I am currently learning to drive but I am happy to travel using other methods.
