My name is Tegan Simmonds. I am one of the lucky 10 candidates to have been selected to take part in a training programme funded by 4Skills (Channel 4), with Duck Soup Films and NFTS Leeds, with the end goal of working within the Art Department on the upcoming Channel 4/Duck Soup Production, Dance School.I started my training back in August, and have since then covered all aspects of production from script to screen. The training has been experiential and industry relevant. I have also covered H&S training and set etiquette, including Fire Safety and Fire Warden training, and undertaken work experience on Hollyoaks at Lime Pictures as a Design Trainee, a Netflix Feature film 'A Cuban Girl's Guide to Tea and Tomorrow' as an Art Department Trainee and Location Marshal (TBR 2023), a BFI short film, 'Midwinter' (TBR 2023) as an Art Department Trainee, a BFI feature film, The Ceremony (TBR 2023), where I carried out graphic design work in pre-production using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, and finally a casting assistant for Shaheen Baig for a Channel 4 TV Drama.I am an Artist who uses a variety of mediums, with experience in design, video editing and sound software. I am a highly motivated, enthusiastic, creative individual who thrives on a new challenge.
