As I approached the end of my degree I found there was little work in the field I wanted to work in so I applied for a job teaching swimming in Thailand. I stayed here for one year, it gave me the opportunity to learn a new culture and gain more independence. Once the academic year was complete I stayed in Asia and travelled for 5 months before returning home. While at university and during my A-Levels I worked at my local leisure centres as a swim teacher from the age of 16. This was a natural progression from competitive swimming. I very quickly had to learn to be efficient in time management. During the pandemic instead of staying at home I worked as a key worker on the bins for my local council. I am a hard worker who is happy to throw my hands into any task.
