Tasked with capturing the unique and abundant wildlife Ascension has to offer, I worked closely with senior members of the conservation team to produce the films required. I am particularly proud of my film about sea turtles which was filmed across three months using only moonlight: https://youtu.be/x2SqFllKopsI have worked as a commissioned wildlife photographer for Historic Royal Palaces (HRP), tasked with capturing the wildlife of Home Park, a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) situated behind Hampton Court Palace. A selection of the images can be viewed on my website via the following link: www.mattwallphoto.co.uk/commissionsWorking as a video editor for the ‘Sail Against Plastic’ expedition provided me with the opportunity to work on a project where I was not present for filming. The film follows an expedition to frigid Arctic waters to explore man-made pollutants such as microplastics in one of the few remaining, seemingly untouched wildernesses in our world. I was also awarded ‘Best Cinematography’ at Wild Film Fest 2017 and awarded a Commendation by the British Wildlife Photography Awards in 2016.
