In 2011 I suffered a catastrophic spinal injury whilst diving into the sea in West Wales. After a long period of rehabilitation at Rookwood spinal unit, Cardiff, I was told I would never walk again and I am now tetraplegic and need to use a wheelchair to get around. However, I really enjoy my life and don’t let my disability hold me back whatsoever.Since 2019 I have been a presenter on Weatherman Walking on BBC One Wales. Over the past three series I have filmed segments on falconry at Caldicot castle, star gazing in Snowdonia, surfing in Gower, foraging in the Wye Valley and canoeing across the Pontcysyllte aqueduct, the highest aqueduct in the world. In 2021, I won the BBC Trailblazer culture award, Unscripted productions.I have recently finished filming three more episodes for Weatherman Walking, due to be broadcast next spring. Along with a Children in Need special that will be shown in November. Presenting is a job I love and one I am passionate about as I am very much a people person and love creating interesting and informative films for others to enjoy.Since my accident I have continued to push myself out of my comfort zone and aim to conquer something new and exciting every year. One year I got pushed and pulled to the summit of Snowdon, which was a thrilling experience. I have also skied down the slopes of Âre, Sweden. I remember sitting on what felt like the top of the world, looking across Sweden and pinching myself as I could’ve never imagined skiing in my position.I have an unquenchable desire to explore the world and want to showcase to others with, and without disabilities that with careful planning and preparation adventure is more than possible.I love to listen to music, going to the theatre and getting out on my handcycle. I have an extremely positive outlook on life and have an outgoing, warm personality. New challenges are always welcome! Read Less
