I am a second year UCL Anthropology BSc student looking to gain work experience in the documentary film industry. I will be returning to university in April 2023 - I have very flexible hours and am eager to gain experience. I am Russian and Italian, and thus have been able to reflexively consider the cross-cultural influences which have impacted my life, as well as others'. Documentaries, in my opinion, are a key medium for expressing and exploring these influences, which may complement or conflict with each other.I am aiming to work in logging, running or researching jobs, and would be keen to develop my skills and create a foundation for more specific and skilled work. Working in hospitality throughout the last few years has trained me to be professional yet friendly with clients. I am organised and disciplined, and curious to learn more. Whilst at school and university, I wrote and researched news articles on the environment, currency and material cultures. I have a keen eye for detail and experience using archives. UCL's Documentary Filmmaking module also enabled me to use camera equipment and learn to use Adobe Premiere Pro, which led to my co-creating a short film about a tarot card reader on the Regent's Canal.
