Scott Altman is an award-winning writer-director and executive producer with two decades of experience across film, television, and commercials. He is known for combining cinematic storytelling with strong production leadership, guiding projects from concept through to delivery on major digital platforms worldwide, including Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video, Tubi, and Google Play.

His independently produced feature, Red Carpet, was acquired by Amazon and Apple, screened internationally, and won multiple directing awards. His documentary Home won Best Short Documentary at the Dublin Independent Film Festival and features contributions from Glen Hansard and Jim Sheridan. He has also directed acclaimed shorts, commercials for agencies including Saatchi & Saatchi, and music videos for artists on Sony Music and Universal Music Group, achieving over 100 million online views.

As founder of Defunct Films, Scott has led international productions spanning the UK, Ireland, Europe, and the US. His work has been recognised with awards including Pearl & Dean’s Director of the Year and multiple Promax/BDA wins for campaigns created for MTV.
