Read MoreTelevision has always been a constant presence in our household, but from my very early childhood I recall that it was always more than what was seen on screen. As I got older, my fascination intensified as I invested in gathering as much knowledge as possible about television. I wanted to ask questions, to know the reasoning behind the structure, the process, why I recognised the changes and development in programmes.In 2011 I was successful in gaining an apprenticeship at ITV, working in a range of departments across the corporate side of the business, however during this time I extended my knowledge and attended many workshops and 'Insight' sessions into Production and "Behind the Scenes" for live shows and scripted programming. Watching television from a contemporary perspective, I look beyond the initial production. I see the richness of development, of the referencing, of the attention to detail, the direction and photography angles that determine the context of a scene or shot. It is this that keeps me committed to television and through my experience of working in the television industry, previously, I believe that I am now in a position, with the additional knowledge gained from working in various administrative and co-ordinator positions, to pursue this opportunity in the industry and location I want to be.
