My passion and interests in terms of animation are embedded deeply within stop motion, skills of which I’ve been developing for over a decade. since completing my degree, I have been fine tuning my work to an industry standard. I am very versatile, animating anything from complex character animation to natural elements, such as wind, water and fire.I work in music, developing soundtracks and foley for films. Working both digitally and live. I’m a multi-instrumentalist playing: Flute, Saxophone, Piano, Guitar, Drums, and more indigenous instruments such as the Didgeridoo and Native American Flutes. I have a band called YOGA made up of Zane Crowther and myself, which takes a postmodern approach to mediation music. We’ve recently performed at The White Hotel and hope to secure some large venues soon.Shortly after graduating I secured some animation work on ‘Salvation Has No Name’, (A short stop motion film by Joseph Wallace) where I explored numerous stop motion techniques for water, such as a motion-controlled rig used to simulate waves at sea, and another involving animating cling film to simulate shallow waves and splashes.I work within lighting and rigging and compositing, removing rigs and colour grading in software such as Nuke, Afterfx and Photoshop. I’ve spent countless hours using DragonFrame, the industry standard programme for stop motion animation within which I programme motion-controlled rigs and utilise audio features used to sync sound with animation.In addition, my skills lie within pre-production, storyboarding, shot design, character design and making. I’m experienced in building armatures, props, and sets. Also carrying out pipeline tests to ensure the functionality of lighting and puppets to eliminate any issues that could impede the success of a shot.I’m reliable, adaptable, and dedicated to put in the work needed to achieve an exceptional outcome. I’m experienced working alongside directors bringing their ideas to life, whilst contributing my skills to enrich the project. My love and passion for stop motion means I’m patient and understand the time/dedication needed to pull off simple and complex scenes whilst working collaboratively with others to bring the best out of everyone. - As previously mentioned, I am a Diving Teacher.
