I am currently working as a freelance Editor with a focus on documentary cinema. I have worked professionally over the past five years on both long and short-form documentaries alongside numerous short films and music videos with industry-standard cameras such as Arri, RED and Sony series cameras along 16mm film, VHS and DV. I edit in Adobe Premier Pro, Final Cut and Avid.Recent projects include ‘Breakfast in Kisumu’ with Dir. Rebecca Achieng Ajulu-Bushell and Prod. Raphael Laurent. The film premiered at International Documentary Festival in Amsterdam in November 2019. The film is a personal homage to the twenty-year journey of renowned professor and political activist Rok Ajulu. I worked for online streaming platform Waterbear on an 8min short documentary ‘The Tale of the Heckler’ which examined the age of disinformation within the climate crisis, dir. Mathew Harmer. The film brought together a narrative segment with expert views from interviewees from the Philippines, Netherlands and South Africa.In 2019 I completed my master's at the Ruskin School of Art, Oxford University, focusing my thesis on the history of documentary cinema and the different storytelling techniques used.
