Over the years I’ve worked in a range of roles as a journalist in TV and radio; I’ve managed teams of reporters in the newsroom as well as on location. I have worked extensively in Persia and have many contacts in the Persian media.I’ve found that galvanizing a team to meet new challenges both in the studio and out on location raises the bar for my own work. I work well in high-pressure environments.I have been covering war and conflicts across Afghanistan for more than 7 years. I’ve worked with TOLO NEWS, Afghanistan's First 24-Hours News, Current Affairs, Business, Regional & World news Television Network, for the last five years. I’ve written half of their frontline news reports as a journalist and covered eighty-percent of TOLO’s live breaking news coverage as an on-camera reporter in Kabul and across Afghanistan. For the years leading up to the Taliban's take over of the government in Afghanistan, I had to hide my family and work from inside the office of Tolo News, based in Kabul, because of the death threats I received directly from from the Taliban. When they finally took over Kabul, I fled with my young family to Uzbekistan. We have now relocated in France and I am finally able to start working again.
