I am Jamie Goldberg. To sum myself up - Film and documentary is not only my passion, but it's what has given meaning to my life since I was 16 years of age. Film is what's kept me authentic and true to myself, and it has pushed me to becoming a 21 year old Met Film School graduate. I am now currently looking to get stuck into the film industry - particularly documentary - to bring my life experience and love for film to a team which holds the same passion.I have a lot of experience as an editor, videographer, spark, and gaffer in music videos, commercials, and short films. In my second year of university, I stumbled upon interviewing the surviving members of the 43 Group. The 43 Group was the first Jewish defence group in the UK to form out of Jewish ex-servicemen who had just come home from fighting Hitler and now wanted to get rid of Oswald Mosley and his revived British Union of Fascists. What was supposed to be a class project for me quickly snowballed into me collecting over seven hours worth of interview footage with every surviving 43 Group member in the UK, and even the grandson of Oswald Mosley. This is what turned my love for documentary film into a love for documentary making. My ultimate goal is to have a job as an editor or spark at a documentary company where I can meet like-minded people who can one day help me turn my collected footage of the 43 Group into a feature documentary film.
