I'm a BBC Trained Vision Mixer and DV self shooter. Currently working as a freelance Director/Vision Mixer in Sports broadcasting, I have experience directing/vision mixing single camera and multi camera live and as live sports. I'm currently direct/vision mixing live sports content for stadium screen and sports platforms. I've worked in multiple roles over the last 14 year, including fixed rig filming on ITV's Amazing Animal Births and self shooting on The Kyle files and BBC TWO'S The Watermen, Dragons' Den where are they now and BBC ONE's Question of Sport Mystery Guests and Honey we're killing the kids. I've also shot, produced, floor managed, directed and vision mixed on numerous multi camera motor sport productions for Motors TV. For BBC Radio and Online I’ve been involved in reporting on the Paralympic World Cup for BBC Radio 5live, online and local radio, and international speedway for BBC Planet Speedway. I interviewed speedway riders from the UK and around the world and worked closely with the producer to plan interviews and features in advance, based on the availability of world championship riders during UK domestic fixtures. We won 2 Gillard awards and received a Sony Radio Awards nomination. I’m extremely comfortable and confident in live environments in the gallery and behind a microphone. I have delivered authoritative and engaging voiceovers and commentary on many motorsport broadcasts. This skill has also enabled me to write and direct effective scripts and OOV links and PTC’s. I have lots of experience of off line self editing and working with an online editor, editing VT packages, TX highlights and full 48 min programme cuts and season reviews. Having spent most of my twenties working as a singer/songwriter, I have a flair for selecting VT music and lots of experience working collaboratively in a fluid 'live' environment, overcoming human and technical difficulties in a calm and controlled manner.
